Patient is discovered missing:
  1. Notify Public Safety
    1. Call 1111
    2. Give a description and last known location
    3. Advise of patient condition and status of the patient which would include:
      1. Patient’s cognitive status
      2. If patient is on 72-hour hold
      3. If patient is threat to themselves or others
      4. If patient is on a police hold
  2. Notify the department manager, supervisor or clinical coordinator immediately.
Code Brown is activated:
  1. Take note of patient’s description.
  2. Assist staff in observing for patient.
